James Le Gros as Raylan Givens in "Pronto" (1997)
Переглядів 135 тис.11 місяців тому
The 1997 film "Pronto" is based on the book by Elmore Leonard, one of the greatest pulp fiction crime writers of all time. It's the first film appearance of Raylan Givens as portrayed by James Le Gros, a magnificent "everyman" actor for almost four decades. Le Gros does Givens as the novel portrayed, an easy going and slow witted country bumpkin that friends & criminals underestimate, and some ...

"The Dukes of Hazard" was a great comedy, because they made fun of everyone. If you've ever experienced Atlanta traffic then the joke's even better. Enjoy!

Beautiful and pissed off Anitra Ford sics the cops on Burt Reynolds driving a 1973 Citroën SM flat out through the streets of Savannah! What else could you want from a gritty 70's film? I always thought Paul Crewe was a total douchebag but sometimes they make the best heroes. The original 1975 film "The Longest Yard" is Burt Reynolds' best. Enjoy!

I'll never forget the first time I laid eyes on Monica Bellucci. She rose up from the silk bed sheets between Keanu Reeves' legs in the 1992 film "Dracula" and I couldn't breathe. My flabbbergasted brain squeaked "that's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" and that opinion has not changed. The film "Malena" is a tribute to her astonishing beauty. Enjoy!

Watching Sheriff Teasle's Ford LTD II go flying through the air, its V8 engine going full roar while chasing Rambo riding a Yamaha XT250 Dual Sport in the film "First Blood" makes this a favorite cinema car chase. Enjoy!

While spring cleaning a few years ago I found a VHS cassette and was wonderfully reacquainted with this magnificent & tragic TV miniseries from 1991. I apologize for the quality. I did my feeble best with an old VCR and conversion software but the videotape spent at least 15 years baking in my Arizona garage. Enjoy!

I bet he was like dam i better hang onto this girl.
That was AMAZING!
Conagher has been my favorite western since it first came out in '91. Realistic, believable people pioneering the west. Loved the very believable romance between Sam Elliott and his lovely wife, Kathryn Ross. I play this movie every so often. For me, it's like putting on my most comfy jeans and soft sweater and curling up on the couch with a good book! Two favorite scenes: when he first sees her standing in the doorway to her cabin and when he comes in the house to her humble, rustic but beautiful candle light supper, and she walks around the table serving coffee. Love the look in Sam Elliott's eyes and on his face.;)
Well put. My sentiments exactly.
Bronson Pinchot is just about the last person one would expect to see as a psycho villain.
He stole the show.
I wouldn’t put up with that, if that were me.
How did they know how to do that task of movement.
My guess is some one was trying to use a hard stick to drill a hole in another piece of wood and smelled smoke.
Still bummed about how this show got cancelled
I did not hear Mississippi Queen 💀
Funny how Gus was tempermental, but Woodrow was actually dangerous. Gus might whack a bartender for his sass, but Woodrow might beat him to death if he said the wrong thing.
The mental aspect and emotion on the faces seems well done, but the amount of swinging with thrusting weapons (as opposed to slashing swords like a sabre) and lack of a solid guard formation beyond creating space seems unrealistic to me. At 1:44, he pulls his weapon away to deliberately give up any possibility of controlling his opponent's weapon and breaks his own defense. It might be good as a representation of crumbling mental fortitude under the stress of the situation, but it still seems odd to me.
This movie wasn't about flawlessly perfect sword fighters, it was about the fear of death in mortal combat and how stupid human ideas about honor led intelligent men to behave like morons.
@@maxbrazil3712 In that case, it seems bang on. That would make any hastiness or mistakes very thematic.
How feuds should be settled.
Any Gun Nuts out there.??.....that Colt he shot the whisky shot glass with...thats a damn big gun. What model is that?
An 1847 .44 caliber Walker Colt. It was the most powerful handgun until the 1911 Colt .45
@@maxbrazil3712 so that would definitely be black powder. Thanks for the info
Is she not beautiful ❤
Name's ash. Housewares!
my favorite scene.
She fisted Riker with that flipper.
Slowed down sounds so awesome!
Quem tem cu tem medo.
This one, and the longsword duel from the king. Both realistic.
Wait, when did Ash learn how to ride a horse? Did he always know? (Yeah, of all the questionable things he can do in this movie, that's the one I want an answer to.)
6 decades on & she’s still giving men boners
Watch this, then look up "Androids of Tara." Yet another play on "The Prisoner of Zenda."
widow makers
That still shot in the thumbnail is INSANE!!!
Finding a good thumbnail is half the battle before posting an edited video.
Betsy Bloomingdale resented Dunne for writing the book!
She was a sleaze.
That ford LTD is a beast lol. They don’t make em like they used to
I've always wondered if that was The she b.itch from earlier

Fire, wheels and language were the decisive elements which transformed primates into humans.
For your information. This isn't a mock-up footage. The documentary is filmed in the real forest. It's a clouded leopard breeding project site located in the middle of the Khao Kheo national park forest of Thailand. The aim of the project is to breed more clouded leopards, send them back to forests to compensate the lost in their numbers due to deforestation of south east Asia, and send them all over the world's zoos to preserve their genes.
Likable characters are 90% of any movie.🌝
Really enjoyed this movie🤙🏻🤙🏻
The Great Race. The best " slapstick " comedy ever made by Blake Edwards. My favorite comedy movie EVER!!!!!!!!
I was not expecting that ending at all!
It was a spoof of the final fight of The Prisoner of Zenda...
I try to explain how awesome this movie is to people, all they hear is it’s about a bunch of cavemen looking for fire.
- No, _GIVE_ me your weapon. (Now he definitely won't kill me.)

Dr Venture: What was that thing?! Brock: Chupacabra, they’re all over the place.
Foley dude working over time.

I was actually surprised at all of the comments here. I'm 65 and have never met anyone outside of my family who's ever heard of this movie. Whenever it was on TV we had to watch it. And then when it appeared on VHS we bought a copy. My Dad's been gone for close to 30 years but every time I watch The Great Race, I can still hear him laughing when "The Great Leslie escaped with a Friar" and Professor Fate replies, "Leslie ran off with a chicken?" And seeing lovely Natalie Wood in underwear and covered with real pies was almost too much for this young lad to bear! 😮
I saw it in a theatre when it came out.
All these comments no one reads books anymore
Not the way it happened but some great flying footage.
"The Right Stuff" is 40% true and 60% fiction, but it's still a great movie.
As a retired fencing coach I can tell you this, the fencing was quite believable and well staged. The two actors must have recieved many hours of instruction and practice, both performed very well!
Thanks for uploading this Series, I thoroughly enjoyed it
We learn a lot about the protagonist (Pigtails Guy) in this opening, because even if duelists SAID it was going to be to the death, it was still common to pull back and offer quarter after first blood was drawn. Everyone's got a plan until they're hurt and all that. That Pigtails didn't even think about it is proof that he's a pretty vicious dude, and definitely the meaner of the two protagonists.
